Our Birthday Book Tradition
If you know me, you know I’m all about physical memories and traditions. However…I have this toxic trait of collecting a whole bunch of stuff that essentially dies in a box. Ex: I’ve kept just about every card P has written me in the last 9 years, but they are scattered throughout multiple keepsake tubs and I probably couldn’t even locate those tubs right now if you asked.
I refuse to lose Roos’ baby stuff - like the idea of that happening makes me sweaty. My intentional solution for cards is a birthday book!
The idea is that instead of hoarding individual cards from each birthday, I can cut the cards junk journal-style to keep them safe and sound taped to the pages. I plan to also set the book out for each birthday party to serve as a guestbook of sorts.
I customized a photo notebook from Papier to say “A Book of Birthday Wishes” and think it’s absolutely perfect for the purpose - I can’t wait to fill this one up and order the next!
